Jawahar navodaya VidyalayaJawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are a unique educational initiative launched by the Government of India to provide quality education to talented students from rural and remote areas. Established in 1986, these residential schools offer free education to students from Class VI to XII and are spread across various states in India.

The selection process for admission to JNVs is rigorous and is based on an entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The examination is held annually and covers subjects like Mathematics, Science and Mental Ability. The examination is open to all students studying in Class V in government schools, and those who clear the examination are given admission to JNVs.

One of the key features of JNVs is that they are fully residential schools. The students stay in hostels on campus and are provided with free boarding and lodging. The schools also provide a range of facilities such as computer labs, science labs, libraries and sports facilities to ensure that the students have access to the best resources to enhance their learning experience.

Apart from academic excellence, JNVs also focus on the overall development of the students. The schools encourage students to participate in various co-curricular activities such as sports, music, dance, and drama. The aim is to provide a holistic education and prepare students to face the challenges of the real world.
